How Does the Program Work?

Extracting your honey just got easier and faster! Simply Borrow one of our honey spinners to process your harvest.  Investing in extracting equipment can be a big expense for a hobby beekeeper, so we’ve put together a couple extractor rental packages that enables you to select the size of the equipment you need to extract your honey with ease at a fraction of the cost.

You rent, pick up and return the extractor and all the tools and then harvest the honey yourself at your location. Simply clean it when you are done and return it.

  • Pickup & Drop Off is in Cape Coral. Prospective users are responsible to pick up and return the equipment
  • You must have a vehicle, in which you can transport the extractor standing up and strapped in or secured as to prevent any rolling or damage. The extractor with the electric motor cannot be laid on its side without risk of damage and must be transported standing up. Please bring enough people to load and unload the extractor. The manual extractor can be moved by 1 person, the electric extractor may require 2 people.
  • Extractor is available for pickup at 9 am the day of your reservation and can be returned by 4 pm the following day (32 hours) Users are responsible to pick up and return of all equipment
  • Pending Availability additional days may be available to extend your rental period.
  • $200 cash deposit to be paid during pickup and returned after equipment is brought back clean and ready for the next beekeeper. All equipment must be returned completely clean. The extractor will be clean when you pick it up and it will need to be cleaned prior to return or your deposit may not be returned. Min Cleaning fee $100-200
  • Credit Card required to be kept on file for remainder of total deposit, in case of damage or returned not ready for the next customer.
  • If everything looks good upon a timely return, we return $200, refund the remaining credit card deposit less the rental fees.
  • If there is damage to any equipment, we expect you to order it and ship it at the quickest available method to replace damaged equipment.
  • In the event of loss or irreparable damage, users are responsible for the replacement value at that time.
  • Extractor must be cleaned out with cold water first to remove bees wax, followed by hot water to remove any remaining honey and please sanitize tools after every use and before you return it, to reduce the risk of AFB contamination. Allow to air dry. If you suspect AFB or have confirmed AFB in any of your hives, please do not rent this extractor since we rent it to other local hobby beekeepers
  • Items you will need that are not included in the rental packages:
    • 5 gallon food-grade buckets for the honey you harvest
    • Optional: Bottling bucket with a honey gate to make bottling easier.Available for purchase separately at our farm store
